An actual moment of quasi-coolness

It's been so long since the weather has been anything but hot and humid that is was like a barely remembered dream to walk outside this morning and feel a breath of cool.

It's not Autumn yet, not by a long shot, but the most brutally steamy days are behind us, and I'm looking forward to the first real cool front that whisks in and sweeps away the crud.

If I had the means, Linda and I would have a summer home somewhere in the mountains. As it is, I'll have to be content with making the annual trek to visit Linda's folks in Illinois on Thursday. The weather in Sterling has been 50's in the morning, and 70's in the afternoon. I'm going to love it.
